fyi non-australians: i’ve seen some confusion already about what has happened here today and i just want to clarify one thing. same sex marriage has not been legalised yet, it was purely a poll to see whether the country as a whole wanted marriage quality or not. it’s still yet to be sent to parliament for them to vote on but fingers crossed there will be marriage equality in australia very soon 🏳️‍🌈
